The online program 'KIDS COLLEGE'

How can we make education process appealing for students? I am sure that every teacher is puzzled by this question.

In the USA (Alabama) the online program called KIDS COLLEGE was created for elementary schools. It is online computer gaming program that helps to strengthen student's math and reading skills. How does it work?

If a child wants to play a game he should answer math or reading questions beforehand. If he wants to continue playing, he should answer additional questions.

I think that this programm really helps in education process. Everybody wins in this case: teachers and students.

"The kids enjoy it," teacher said. "They don't realize that they're making a connection between learning and enjoyment."

It is also very good for teachers because they will be given reports that have information what material to teach or

Needless to say that students really enjoy this program. It motivates them to answer the questions correctly so they can play video games.

Anna Turner, a 9-year-old fourth-grader said she likes the program a lot.

"It gives me a challenge. You just don't go to a game. It makes you learn and then lets you play a game. I like using it for math. It gives me fractions and a vocabulary of math problems. I really like the questions better than the games though."

Everybody knows that there is a relationship between motivation and learning. The more you motivated, the better will be the result. Besides this the program helps to enhance the quality of education because teachers can be informed about students’ knowledge gaps.
