Group 4: Welcome to our Language Learning Platform!

We created a site for teaching and learning English with Moodle 2.3. We started with ‘English for Beginners’, i.e. the courses would be at A1 level. What we wanted to learn from it was how to interact with pupils (the scenario we used was an English teacher who wants to give extra exercises in a ‘fun’ way to his/her pupils, and certainly other learners of interest), how to give them feedback, how to stimulate them, what possibilities are offered by Moodle and finally how to include texts, videos, games, testing and the like.

This is what the introduction of the site tells the visitor:
The main goal is to help you learn English, starting from a basic level and get connected with other members of the course. Designing the     website, we have taken into account all your needs when studying the language, which makes our website of great value to you. As English teachers and now working together as a team, we know all the difficulties that you face:
         overloading with information
         lack of time
being not motivated sometimes, and more importantly
your desperate need to practice both written and spoken English.
Therefore, the website is to cater for all your needs and one important feature is that you can get feedback and scoring from the exercises and assignments that you have done.
We are just there to answer your questions relating to the lessons; so why hesitated, please enrol and become a member of the course.
We wish you a good time and success with your language learning.
    Best regards,
    On behalf of the team
